It's not over yet! So far this year really has felt like a whirlwind. 2024 we made so much progress towards our massive life goals. We've learned about YouTube, sales, content scripting, how to be more productive, getting in the best physical shape we've ever been in and how to sacrifice today for a better tomorrow.
There is no chance I'd be able to do all of this without you. I've been chasing this love, this bond, and this life since the moment I met you. I appreciate you literally every single day. Not a day passes where I'm not super happy to fall asleep beside you, and enter a new day with my best friend.
Kelsey Ara, you are so strong. You are smart. You are everything I ever dreamed of in a partner. I've always loved you. Every day, every adventure, every setback, and every win makes me love you more. I'm incredibly lucky to have had this much time with you already. I hope we get to have 100 more years together! Hopefully only 1 more year in the apartment though haha. How crazy is it that next year when I write this we'll be MARRIED?! Dreams do come true.
We decided it'd be fine to bike.. Even though it rained before we even left haha. Then we got poured on.
Getting Alex's wisdom teeth out. Hahaha. thank you babe for being here for me through it. I was low key nervous about it.
We were models! This was so fun. We modelled for Daniel. We endured the 6 dogs and 6000 mosquitos. Let's do this again.
Thailand in a nut shell. Beautiful scenery, swass, and meat.
Our first "Channel Jumpstart" Youtube video. 24 hours in Iron Image! What the fuck is our life haha. It was a lot of fun to do this type of content. It was one step toward trying out creating content for ourselves.
When we adopted a bunch of stray skinny ass cats! We felt so bad for them we kept bringing the one white cat milk, water, and food. It felt like the right thing to do.
the morning we overslept our alarm to go to Thailand hahah. That was wild. Had to include this. Almost worst case but it wasn't so now it's just funny haha.
Hands down one of the most underrated moments from our journey to Thailand! You terrorizing an old woman with your coughs hahaha. The fact she was so nice until you started coughing was perfect. Just a two faced little bitch.
The Thai engagement shoot. The building was incredible. I still can't believe we pulled this off for so cheap lol. Thailand was one of those places where it felt like it was us against the world. I really liked exploring and trying a new lifestyle with you.
To all the incredible small shops we stopped at.
To the random adventures we continually find ourselves in!
The first night in our Bangkok airbnb and we were hungry! Some how missed all of the 5 food places in our condo area and went straight to this tiny little hole in the wall. Actually ended up being pretty damn good.
When we took edibles and made the most glorious batch of nachos house sitting at your parents. The time we left the "hot plates" out! Disgusting! But the nachos were fucking good even though Insidious 4 was.. meh.
THE BEST FRENCH TOAST IN THAILAND! Fuck this place was bougie and we were there for it.
Wasabi's Sushi. Can't remember the roll. But fuck this place never disappoints. I look forward to the day we can eat sushi like this every day if we wanted and it'd cost a small fraction of what we earn.
Black Ink Squid Spaghetti! Not included for it's amazing taste. I've had better pasta for sure. But.. it was fun trying it! So cheers to the food experiments.
The best fried chicken in the world so far. This lady slayed this shit hard. The spices, the texture, the cold crunch, ugh. I miss it everyday.
The street meat, eggs, and fruit with a view. Breakfast in the morning was fast and so tasty. Especially when we went for....
... bonus cappuccinos and waffles!
One of our last dates in Pattaya. Where we went out for dinner, got some drinks, played pool, and watched all the hookers take people to the hotel hahah. Was this also the same night we stopped in on that abandoned ass budah park???
Our first surprise date day! I love this idea. One of us plans a multi-series date. It really feels like we're just two kids with butterflies living in the moment.
When we made a random internet date video.. we never posted it. But it was one of the most fun dates we had. At the Shrugging Doctor winery here. Loved the aesthetic. It was a moment where it felt surreal that we were able to do this.
Shoutout to all the family nights. One of my favourite things about you is your family. You all make effort to regularly see each other and be around. I love that. They will add to our lives in so many ways.
529 Wellington's patio! We finally made it! Not only was this the first date you planned for us, it was a bucket list item! Very happy we went here. It was beautiful, lush, and gave us a lot of inspiration to what our outdoor patio could be like in the future.
to all our small daily dates. I am so lucky to share these moments with you. People glamorous the big dates. The expensive dates. But true love is built in the appreciation of small moments. I love doing life with you. From going on amazing international trips to just walking around town eating ice cream and talking about our goals. Tomorrow is not promised, and there may be a season where we can't do this as much. So I appreciate all the bike rides, the movie nights, and the gym dates we get to go on.
Remember getting absolutely demolished at that Indian bar? It was another wild date night where we walked on the beach, took edibles, and got drinks + food at this little place in the alley. At first we sat outside but it was so tight! Oh.. and when I asked about the bathroom the dude led me around the back to piss in the alleyway lmao.
The biggest year of my life. We got engaged! I've always known you are the woman for me. I tried to fight it for years but it was always you. I remember the exact moment I decided I needed to propose ASAP. We were talking outside of our office and you mentioned about how shitty it would be if something happened and we never got engaged.
I thought at first I needed money. You made me realize in that exact moment I had everything I needed. Sure, money, success, and crushing goals is important. But why would I wait for some arbitrary milestone to make the ultimate show of commitment. I toyed with many ideas. Maybe on vacation. Naaah.. you couldn't live in the moment. As the days ticked by it hit me. Propose on your birthday. So many people who love us would already be there. And maybe I could catch you off guard. So many things were left to the universe to figure out haha. THE ROOM BEING RESERVED FOR US! Literally the day of.. jesus. It was perfect.
Ironically 2023 was one of the hardest years for us financially. We both took massive steps back in terms of income. Stepping away from Online CEOs was a bold move, but so important. We were not afraid to struggle if it meant not compromising our morals. And I love that. We had hard nights. Tears, and pure anxiety. We sold everything we could, especially from the storage lockers. But at the end of the day we were landing clients using the Local Marketing Vault model. And because of our morals, we were given much larger opportunities than we ever thought.
Us trying to get married hahah. That lady who signed the papers was ancient. I liked the idea of us getting married in advance. Although it didn't work out like we thought, I just love the idea of us getting married <3
When we broke our first $10k month! Have to celebrate with A&W hahaha. One day we'll look back at these small celebrations and laugh. I love that you are a small moments type person. It's not that you don't love big celebrations. It's that you appreciate the small ones just as much. It makes life with you feel so fun and rewarding.
Christmas baby! Had to just stick this in there haha. I love having Christmas with your family.
Thank you for braving some of the iciest roads with me. All to go in the middle of nowhere to celebrate a 1 year old. I'm so lucky to have someone so amazing. I appreciate that you make efforts to make friends with the other people I care about. I love that about you.
Nick's wedding! Where we sat front row to a super religious ukranian ceremony while we tried not to burst out laughing. It was sweaty in there haha.
Had to include the chaos of the Schaefer household during decorating. This is a perfect representation of how your family operates in this hilarious yet loving manner.
BAO House in Winnipeg. Not the best Bao we've ever had, but god damn it's hard to have a bad one.
my Khaleesi said yes
When I posted about "hunting" more interview guests !
When you almost amputated Madeline's arm hahah. Holy shit that was funny.
we survived the drive home and this crack den
Our very first BNI meeting
Your very first sale!
Having Dawn & Dieter down in Florida was a blast. I love being able to celebrate life with you and your family. I look forward to doing this more often with the people we love because these moments let you really appreciate the moment.
New Years in Orlando! We were so excited to celebrate with everyone. This night was one of my favourite of the year. It felt like our group was the life of the party.
We got sushi, then drinks at Joeys (this pic), and then baked expectations! Pretty sure we went home to snuggle and watch Youtube haha.
Our first time at the new Earls Main!
At Madeline & Tom's wedding!
THE SEAFOOD BOIL! To this day I fucking crave this boil. I want to have a feast of two different seasoned boils. Just getting elbows down in seafood heaven.
Learning that Krispy Kreme gave free donuts! This was probably 3000 calories of donuts to the dome but fuck... those original and raspberry filled ones are so damn good.
